LGU Bacacay upgrades rural health center
To ensure resiliency, safety and continuous operations in times of emergencies and disasters, the local government unit (LGU) of Bacacayas has finally upgraded its rural health center.
This is the main objective of modernizing the rural health center and health facilities in the town.
According to Municipal Engineer Edgar Quiambao, the proposal was given by the former Albay Governor Joey Sarte Salceda and the idea about this project has been implemented even before the end of his term.
Quiambao further explained that the purpose of the project is to primarily improve the emergency management capacity of health workers and institutions.
The project started last March 22 and is expected to finish on January next year. The enhancement has been made possible under the newly elected mayor Dinky Romano.
The renovation accountabilities will be charged to the annual budget of the LGU.
Meanwhile, for the convenience of Bacacayanos, the LGU had built a temporary medical center nearby to accommodate patients especially those who reside from the island of Bacacay. It was opened last March 2.
It also targets to protect the lives of the patients by guaranteeing the structural flexibility of the facility.
The hospital must be safe and prepared to do its vital role for the benefit of the Bacacayanos. –Oragon Digest
