Amid the intensified implementation of PNP Anti-illegal Drugs Campaign Plan through out the country, the concerted efforts of Malinao Municipal Police Station (MPS), Local Government Unit (LGU) Malinao and Barangay Anti Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) headed a half day Spiritual formation and group counseling last Wednesday, September 28, 2016.

The activity was held at the Estancia Barangay Hall, partaken by Persons in Recovery (PIR) from the clustered barangays, Barangay Estancia, Labnig and Ogob.

According to PNP Malinao, the activity aims to uplift the spiritual beings of PIR. They believe that God will give meaning to the lives of the 'surrenderees' of the anti-illegal drugs campaign and will help them in their full recovery, as well as be productive citizens of the society.

"This is one of our ways of reaching out to the Persons In Recovery who voluntarily submit themselves to join us as we continue to uplift ourselves in honoring Jesus as our savior." They added.

The spiritual formation and group counseling through a bible study was facilitated by Mr. German Gonzaga of Word of Life Christian Ministries - Tabaco Inc.

Gonzaga is also the Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) Chairman representing the Religious sector of the Malinao MPS.

He also facilitated the moral recovery and spiritual uplifting conducted last September 22, 2016 in aim of facilitating a God centered, service oriented and family-based PNP personnel.

The 'surrenderees' desire to transform themselves into better individuals which resulted in participating in this religious enlightenment in a form of bible study.

Not only the PIR are welcomed in this religious enlightenment program but PNP Malinao "opens the activity to all people who are willing to listen [to the word of God] and are willing to participate to their station's call for spiritual enlightenment".
